Monika Pawlikowska

Her scientific interests are mainly focused on issues related to corporate social responsibility, ESG, sustainable development, personnel policy DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) and disability.

She devoted her master’s thesis to the problem of increasing the segment of people with disabilities on the labour market in Poland, barriers and challenges in employing people with disabilities and ways of professional activation of this community.

Currently, she has started working on her doctoral dissertation on a comparative analysis of the marginalised issue of disability inclusion in CSR/ESG strategies and reports with the widely discussed issue of gender equality and human rights. The dissertation, which is a combination of social and economic perspectives, will aim to analyse the CSR and ESG strategies of selected companies, to identify policies, initiatives and goals related to employment diversity and the integration of people with disabilities into the organisation’s structures, and to verify the real actions taken by companies to implement the declaration, as well as the benefits of their actions, both for the companies, their business environment and the local community.

The main operational objective of the whole thesis, in contrast, will be to incorporate a practical perspective, thus identifying the key barriers and challenges in the implementation of the strategy and best practices and their impact on the economic efficiency of the organisation, as well as to identify potential improvements in the
